Kyu Testing on April 9th, 2018

Hello everyone,

This message applies to Kildonan Karate students (other than Tiny Tigers).

We offer testing approximately every 3 months, our next testing date has been set as follows:

Monday April 9

There will be a warm-up class from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. with testing beginning at 7:00 p.m. All students can attend the warm-up class and are welcome to watch the testing after. There will be no regular class on that date.

The cost of testing is $35 and that includes a new belt. If you do not require a new belt (i.e. if you are testing for another level of brown belt) then testing is $25.

If you are interested in testing please let me know and I will confirm your eligibility.

Also – if you could please e-mail me your belt size so I can place an order to make sure we have a belt available for you.

In addition to getting the o.k. to test from either Sensei Phil Harris or Sensei Steve Burch, another eligibility requirement is to have your annual WTKO fees paid for 2018.

Below are more details in regard to the WTKO annual fees.

Kildonan Karate is a member of the World Traditional Karate Organization (WTKO).

As part of our affiliation with the WTKO, instructors and students are required to pay annual registration fees of $40 per student.

If you are new to Karate and are still trying out the program, the fees do not have to be paid until you would like to attempt your first testing.

Payments for testing and annual WTKO fees can be made by cash, cheque or or Interac e-transfer.

Cheques would be payable to Kildonan Karate.
